Maryland couples find Frankel, Hoppy divorce talks amicable

Many of our Maryland readers may have heard of Bethenny Frankel, the founder of popular brand 'Skinnygirl' and one of the faces of reality television. Recently, Frankel has taken to the media reporting that she and her husband, Jason Hoppy, have separated. News of the separation has spread throughout the media leaving many questioning whether divorce is the next step.

After almost three years of marriage, Frankel and Hoppy have one child together, a two and a half year old daughter. While Frankel expresses her sadness at the separation, she states that the decision was made in an attempt to make the best choices for their family. Frankel also very plainly acknowledges that the decision to separate, and any made in the future will be centered around what is best for their daughter.

For the past few months, media outlets have questioned whether Frankel and Hoppy's marriage was having a rough time. Even throughout these rumors, the couple has assured their loyal fans that they still hold respect for one another, and have a desire to work through their situation amicably. This begs the question of whether, should a divorce petition be filed, fans will see the couple take an unusually smooth approach to divorce.

It is no secret that celebrities often have more dramatic divorces due to their high-value assets and media attention. There are many non-celebrity couples, however, that can still find themselves in a complex situation during divorce. Choosing to work together and find an amicable balance, as Frankel and Hoppy appear to be doing, may be one of the keys to a less painful divorce for couples in Maryland and elsewhere.
